Chicago Area Towers plus Wyeville

Well-known Chicago area photographer Mark Llanuza sent us a number of fine photographs. Here’s a group from the Chicago Terminal area including Clinton St., Kedzie Ave., Canal St. Bridge, & Wyeville plus CPT Dispatchers and the West Chicago Dispatch Center. Clinton Street

Bob Stoddard – Clinton St. Tower, 1992 or 1993. This was one of Bob’s last days at Clinton St. Within a week, he was promoted to Dispatcher and was handling the Illinois Division from Chicago to Clinton, IA	Here’s another shot of Bob at Clinton Street at about the same time.
Kedzie Avenue

The old Kedzie Tower shown November 1978 with its pistol-grip machine. The operator is unidentified. The old tower was on the north side of the tracks	Here’s the replacement for the old pistol grip plant taken in October 1981.

Ben Wheeler at work in 1981 after new interlocking equipment had been installed in the old tower. Later, a new tower was built on the south side of the tracks and this tower was demolished.	The old Kedzie Tower.
