Larry Bunce, owner of Railroad Relics and former Milwaukee Road employee, set up a display of C&NW memorabilia for sale and perusal.  Thanks Larry!

A special thank you to Dewayne Stiefvater for coming.  Dewayne has experienced some serious medical problems and has improved enough to come to our luncheon and even tell a joke.

Thank you to Ron Marquart (son of Ralph Marquardt) for coming.  Ron has gone through some serious medical problems and is now on the mend and able to attend our luncheon.

A very good luncheon was provided by the staff at Rex’s Innkeeper.

President Mundth reported that the chapter is in good financial condition.

Reported to the group that Leo Tieman, former Assistant Division Manager-Engineering, Wisconsin Division, sent a note reporting he and his wife moved into assisted living and won’t be able attend this or future luncheons.

Door prizes were distributed.

Note:  The waycar, formerly on display on a short section of track just east of the Waunakee depot, is gone.  It was acquired by the Plymouth, Wisconsin Historical Society and moved to Plymouth in September 2008.  Once restored, the waycar will be placed on display at a location to be announced.  Further information can be had from the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce at 888-693-8263.  The photo above shows the waycar in August 2008 and it was in pretty “tough” shape at that time.  Anyone able to provide historical information about the waycar or assist with the restoration please contact the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce at the above number.  -   09/04/09

Here’s the Waunakee Depot as it looks today after a fine job of restoration.
