The following minutes to be read at our next meeting at
the National RR Museum on A joint meeting of the Green Bay - C&NW
Veterans and the local NARVE Chapter was held at the National RR Museum
on Wednesday November 18, 2009. Minutes: President Truman Koehn of the C&NW Veterans Chapter
read the minutes of the previous meeting held at Titletown
Brewery on Wednesday October 21, 2009. 9 members were in attendance. Dick Piontek, Legislative
Officer gave his report which included the fact that 680,000 people are
drawing on their railroad benefits and that there are 149,000 railroaders
currently working. Dick Jobelius, President of the
local NARVE Chapter gave his report. Discussion included history of
railroading in Manitowoc (Malt Houses) and Medicare
Supplemental Insurance. A sympathy card was sent to Lynda Karcz (Merna's Solper's daughter) on November 10, 2009. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday, January 20, 2010,
