The following minutes to be read at out meeting at the National RR Museum on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. A joint meeting of the Green Bay - C&NW Veterans and the local NARVE Chapter was held at Titletown Brewery on Wednesday October 21, 2009. Minutes: President Truman Koehn of the C&NW Veterans Chapter read the minutes of the previous meeting which was the dinner at Stadium View. 11 members were in attendance. Dick Jobelius, President of the local NARVE Chapter, was absent. Frank Hedstrom, Vice President reported that he had nothing new to report. Dick Piontek, Legislative Officer gave his report. Lauren Bockin gave a report on the finances from the annual dinner held on September 19, 2009. Truman Koehn gave a new report on the status of Railroad Retirement, which was dated April 2009, but different than the last report received. It included stock market losses, but has not been updated since recent gains. There will not be a cost of living increase in Railroad Retirement for 2010 and possibly for 2011. Lauren Bockin reported a sympathy card had been sent to Dick Ryan (Merna Solper died on Oct. 18, 2009) and one will be sent to Merna's daughter when her address can be obtained Our next meeting will be on Wednesday December 16, 2009 at the National RR Museum.
