Minutes of our Green Bay Chapter meeting held on January 18, 2012:

Our meeting opened at 9AM.

President Truman Koehn of the C&NW Veterans / Green Bay Chapter read the minutes of our previous meeting held at the National RR Museum on

December 21, 2011.

Due to colder than normal temperatures on this date, and a number in our group having colds and or flu, our turnout was much less than expected.

Only 4 members braving the cold for our monthly meeting.

Dick Jobelius, president of the local NARVE Chapter, gave his report.  The Green Bay NARVE Chapter is still looking for a chapter secretary-

treasurer and a legislative representative.  Anyone interested in these offices contact Dick Jobelius.  Dick also requested members to bring

any postal stamps for a project.  Used stamps are fine.  Also members were reminded to bring any spare plastic bags to our next meeting for Gail.

Fred Dorn, currently commander of the local Green Bay American Legion Post, mentioned that anyone having American flags to be disposed of,

that there is a container for this purpose.  Located outside of the Legion building at 1708 North Irwin on the NE side of Green Bay.

Report on sick members:  No members reported sick except those members having colds and flu.

Due to the small turn out at this meeting, we did have plenty of coffee and sweet rolls.  Conversation was lively and centered around notable

events on the railroad in Green Bay prior to 1988. We had a constructive and enjoyable meeting despite our low numbers.

Our meeting adjourned at 10:00 am.

Our next meeting (after our February 15th meeting) will be March 21, 2012 at the National Railroad Museum.
