The 47th Annual Luncheon of the Florida Chapter of the C&NW Veterans Association was held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Sam Seltzer’s Steakhouse in the Clarion Hotel in Fort Myers, Florida. There was a social hour from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon
provided by attorney Will Moody. At Jim talked thanked everyone for coming as we had a record turnout this year with 73 people. Jim also pointed out that a representative from N.A.R.V.R.E. was here and if you weren’t a member this would be a good time to talk to them. Jim said that there were a lot of valid reasons to join, the main one giving you access to the attorneys who are handling the asbestos lawsuits. Dan Barden went around the room and had everyone update their information on our address list. Secretary/Treasurer Vicki Barden had informed Jim Hansen and Vice President, Dan Barden, several months ago that she would not be handling the Secretary/Treasurer position again this year. This gave us ample time to search for a new Secretary/ Treasurer candidate. Bonnie Jarmy was approached and said she would be willing to take over the responsibilities. Bonnie was introduced to the group and all present were agreeable with the appointment of Bonnie to the Secretary/Treasurer position. The officers for the year 2011 are: President, James Hansen Vice President, Dan Barden Secretary/Treasurer, Bonnie Jarmy Vicki Barden thanked
everyone for the donation of raffle/door prizes. Donations were received from the following
members: Bob Blake, Ron Corrigan,

the We also had a record number of raffle tickets sold and the 50/50 pot was also very successful thanks to the efforts of Lyle Spratt and Joe Jarmy. We collected $240 in raffle ticket sales and $304 in the 50/50 pot. The 50/50 pot was split in 3 prizes of $50 each. Jim talked
